Happy New Year, Manchester!
Recently, as I have done every year for the past seven, I took a break from my Manchester video productions to put together a video that remembers the stars of radio, TV, and movies. And it goes way beyond the faces and the names for me with these people.
For many, these people were our friends. For others, they were mentors, and for others, a lot of these people were even babysitters. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who was plopped down in front of the TV for an hour or two while my mom made dinner. And how many of us felt victorious when we made it through the entire Jerry Lewis Telethon? This year’s video remembers the people whom so so many of us grew up with in Manchester. Like many of the buildings that once stood here, they may be gone now, but their beautiful cherished memories will never, ever leave us.
