Why no vote on Jim Craig to remain as the Commissioner of Labor? Jim has done an outstanding job and deserves another term.

My association with Jim goes back to his high school days at Bishop Bradley High School. I was teaching history and served as the football and baseball coach. Bradley was an all-boys high school and a top academic program was offered.

Jim Craig

Jim has gone on to law school and served in the United States Army. He served as the minority leader in the House of Representatives and has done a great deal of civic work in our community. New Hampshire has benefited from his work at Labor and this should continue. We have a very low unemployment rate, our Labor Department does good work, and the man at the top has proven he deserves another term.

I know the political climate is hot right now but good people should not be pawns in the game. The work of the State must go on even in an election year. Departments need to be stable and leadership is the key.

I urge the Governor and Council to vote for the re-appointment of Jim Craig and put petty politics aside. New Hampshire need good people and we have a very competent person in Jim Craig. Let’s keep him at Labor and move on- this vote would be good for New Hampshire.
