LEBANON, NH – A suspect was arrested on the campus of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center Tuesday following a domestic incident in which a 70-year-old woman was shot and killed inside the hospital.

Police in the town of Lebanon confirmed that a man was arrested shortly before 3 p.m., 90 minutes after the initial alert. Earlier, police said they had been looking for a man with salt-and-pepper blond hair who was wearing a red camouflage shirt.

The NH Attorney General’s office confirmed the incident was under control, and said more information will be released as soon as it’s available.

According to news sources, the woman was a patient at the hospital and the man who shot her was her son.
