MANCHESTER, NH – A man wanted in connection with a stabbing incident last week at Mr. Market on Spruce Street turned himself in at police headquarters Monday.
Chad Nagy, 18, of Manchester was charged on a warrant for first-degree assault and additionally charged with falsifying evidence and violation of bail.
On Sept. 22, Manchester Police were called to Mr. Market to investigate a stabbing incident. Nagy allegedly stabbed a man who was trying to hold Nagy until police arrived, at which time they encountered an adult male victim with a non-life-threatening laceration to his left forearm.
The victim and other witnesses told officers that they had chased Nagy to the store from outside a nearby residence after he displayed a knife during a fight. They were attempting to keep Nagy locked inside the store by holding the door closed until police arrived. Nagy managed to escape at which point he allegedly stabbed the victim and then fled on foot. Detectives were granted an arrest warrant for Nagy, who turned himself in Sept. 25.
Nagy was additionally charged Monday night with falsifying physical evidence and violation of bail. He is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on September 26, 2017.
