Under 10 Days Till 2019 Patriots Training Camp

After a heroic Super Bowl victory for the New England Patriots back in February against the Los Angeles Rams, football has essentially been gathering more and more media coverage and eventually looking to Training Camp, the next time fans and media can watch contact/non-contact drills and roster shake-ups in person.

Last season during Training Camp, questions loomed around the running back position heavily. Newly drafted halfback out of Georgia, Sony Michel was a head scratching decision to the surrounding fan base of Foxboro, Massachusetts.

Projected to have five to seven year NFL career due to past knee injuries suffered through college, Michel shut down the naysayers and put up a remarkable rookie season for the now six-time champs. Carrying the ball over 200 times for 931 yards and six scores, the 5’11 gear changer took advantage of the repetitions in training camp and eventually becoming the primary ball handler for quarterback Tom Brady.

Now with incoming draftee Damien Harris entering the Patriots backfield with Michel, Rex Burkhead and James White, it should be interesting if Michel gets the same workload for minutes, or Harris slips in to take some pressure off the second year back.

This coming season, the pressure lies on first round wide receiver N’Keal Harry out of Arizona State. Between 6’2 and 6’4 with cleats, the Sun Devils product impressed scouts with his route running and ability to find the ball in stride. Coach Belichick saw talent for the long haul and rolled the dice with drafting the wide receiver in the first round, something New England has not attempted in the Belichick era. Boosting the wide receiving core will be a daunting task along with the tight end position, as the retirement of future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski has caused loopholes in filling the position.

The schedule for the first few days of training camp at the Gillette Stadium facility are as followed (future dates will be added as next week approaches)
