Two weekend reports of gunfire, one on the West Side, the other on Concord Street

MANCHESTER, NH – Two gunshot calls were reported over the weekend. The first call, on the West Side, was cleared, but police are actively investigating the second incident.

The first incident occurred in the area of Putnam and Dubuque streets on Saturday night around 9:20 p.m. The caller, who resides on Cartier Street, stated he heard one to five gunshots. Several officers arrived on scene and checked multiple locations around the caller’s residence and the aforementioned intersection.

Officers were unable to locate evidence of a gunshot and ultimately cleared the area.

The second shots-fired call was reported two hours later at 11:20 p.m. on January 29, 2017. The 21 year-old female victim called from 329 Concord St., after a single round entered her apartment. The round pierced through the exterior window and traveled through a television set and a kitchen wall. Fortunately no one was injured as a result of the reckless act.
