Two Trenton Home Runs Produce Yet Another Victory Versus New Hampshire

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats now have lost 13 straight games to the Trenton Thunder, losing 4-3 at ARM & HAMMER Park on Saturday night.

Jonathan Davis came across the plate for New Hampshire in the first, but Trenton retook the lead in the second thanks to a two-run homer by Zack Zehner.

The Thunder added a third run in the fifth with Rashad Crawford’s sacrifice bunt and a fourth run thanks to Jorge Mateo’s solo homer in the seventh.

Tim Lopes brought New Hampshire back within a run with his homer in the ninth, but Cale Coshow closed out the Fisher Cats before they could even up the contest.

Coshow got his 12th save of the year, including six against New Hampshire. Zack Littell pitched the other eight innings for Trenton, scattering four hits while striking out seven Fisher Cats.

Shane Dawson pitched five innings in the loss, allowing six of Trenton’s seven hits, striking out five and walking three.

The series concludes Sunday afternoon, with first pitch set for 1:00 p.m. New Hampshire’s Sean Reid-Foley (5-6, 4.42 ERA) faces Trenton righthander Brody Koerner (1-0, 0.00 ERA). After Sunday’s game, the Fisher Cats will return to action on Thursday following the All-Star festivities at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium on Tuesday and Wednesday
