MANCHESTER, NH – In an effort to address quality of life issues in one of the city’s crime “hot spots,” the Manchester Police Department Special Enforcement Street Crime Unit has been conducting plain clothes operations to rid the area of prostitution and drug activity.
On Aug. 19 officers focused their attention to two areas: from Manchester to Laurel streets and Union to Lincoln streets. At that time, a plain clothes officer was approached on two separate occasions and solicited by two women for sexual intercourse in exchange for money.
As a result, two arrests were made: Alanna Robichaud 20, of Lake Ave., and Jordan Gingras, 22, homeless.
Robichaud and Gingras were each charged with one count prostitution. They are both scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on August 20.
