Two charged in CVS robbery of oxycontin

MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police responded to CVS, 271 Mammoth Road, at approximately 11:30 p.m. April 21 for a reported robbery. The initial report indicated a male of African descent wearing a surgical mask gloves and a gray sweatshirt had robbed the pharmacist and fled with an undisclosed amount of oxycontin.

Sgt. Allen Aldenberg was patrolling the area when the call was dispatched about the robbery. He observed a vehicle operating westerly on Bridge Street from Mammoth Road. He immediately changed directions and conducted a motor vehicle stop. He located two subjects inside of the vehicle and noticed the passenger matched the suspect description. The operator, Ahmed Khalifa, 29, of Manchester, was eventually charged with criminal liability to robbery and his passenger, Junior Rigaud, 33, of Manchester, was charged with robbery.

Sgt. Aldenberg also located a prescription bottle containing 80 100-milligram oxycontin pills inside of the vehicle. The pills have an estimated street value of $8,000. Both men were scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court on April 22. Detectives continue to investigate the incident to determine if there is any connection to other robberies.
