MANCHESTER, NH– The Currier Museum of Art announces the return of “Twilight at the Currier” on Saturday, July 20, 2019.  The free summer block party is full of family-friendly activities and this year features events related to the exhibition Medieval to Metal: The Art and Evolution of the Guitar.  Music will be provided by Way Up South, whose sound weaves together southern, blues, country, jazz, and Americana rock. The entire Currier Museum will be open at no charge, with special activities held in and around the building.

Food and drink will be available for purchase from favorite local food trucks, including Primetime Grilled CheeseB’s TacosNH Food BankPhoenix RisingChez Rafiki’sEmpanada DadaArnie’s Ice Cream, and Souped Up. The beer and wine tent will feature local craft beer fromTo Share Brewing Company as well as wine and a signature sangria.

Other activities include LED Hoop performances from Kaleidoscope Entertainment, a community art project based on guitars, spray tattoos, face painting, and a wide variety of other activities. Laura Boyce, from the popular Greg & The Morning Buzz WHEB/Rock 101 radio show, will emcee the event.

“Block parties are a great excuse for neighbors to get together and have some fun,” says Alan Chong, director of the Currier Museum of Art. “We invite all of our neighbors – from across the whole state – to stop by to see our art and our exhibitions, listen to some great music, and get their families involved in some creative activities.”

The event will take place rain or shine on Saturday, July 20, from 5 to 9 p.m.
