The Trenton Thunder finished Sunday with ninth win in a row against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, taking the second game of the day’s doubleheader, 6-3.

New Hampshire was held hitless through the first five innings of the contest by Anyelo Gomez and Caleb Frare, but brought home a run in the fourth thanks to four walks by Frare.

Alex Monsalve and Ryan McBroom each brought home runs later in the contest, but it wouldn’t be enough to make up for Trenton’s four run first inning.

Trenton’s Tito Polo continued his hot streak, going 4-for-5 with two RBI, plus a double and a stolen base.

Frare (2-2) got the win for his two innings of relief. The loss went to Kender Villegas, giving up eight hits over the first three innings of the contest.

The series concludes with Monday’s 7:05 p.m. contest. Shane Dawson (1-8, 5.93) takes the mound for New Hampshire against Trenton’s Zack Littell (2-0, 0.00).
