Toddler death update: Couple charged with four counts possession with intent to sell

MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police detectives applied for a search warrant for the home of Joshua Garvey, 31, and Christen Gelinas, 33, as part of an investigation involving the death of a 20-month-old toddler, who died unexpectedly on May 25, 2018.

Detectives executed the search warrant at 473 Hevey St. on May 25 as part of the death investigation. There they located and seized 28.1 grams of heroin, 11.8 grams of cocaine, 15.3 grams of crack cocaine and three Suboxone strips inside of the apartment, which have an estimated street value of over $5,400.

Drug-related warrants were prepared for both Gelinas and Garvey as a result of the drugs located inside their second-floor apartment. They were arrested at 11:30 p.m. May 29 by the Windham Police Department at a home in Windham.

The Manchester Police Department Investigative Division and Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office are actively working on the death investigation, so no additional information is available at this time.

Gelinas and Garvey were each charged with four counts of possession of controlled drug with intent to distribute.

Garvey was additionally charged with violation of bail conditions. Both are scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on May 30, 2018.
