Tipsters lead police to alleged Northway Bank robber, who turned himself in

Police said they got multiple tips from the public after releasing bank surveillance photos.

MANCHESTER, NH – A Goffstown man, identified by tipsters following the release of surveillance photos from a May 23 bank robbery, turned himself in Wednesday, and is charged with robbery.

Manchester Police responded to a bank robbery on Tuesday May 23, 2017 approximately 11:30 a.m. at Northway Bank, 29 Cilley Road. The alleged robber, identified by police as Aaron Pelchat, 35, of Goffstown, entered the bank, demanded cash and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police received multiple tips about the identity of the bank robber. They followed up on the tips and ultimately completed an arrest warrant (robbery) for Pelchat, who turned himself in at Londonderry Police Department, and was transported to Manchester Police headquarters at approximately 10:05 p.m. on May 24. 

Pelchat is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on May 25, 2017.
