Teen charged with assault after hitting a man over the head with a Razor scooter

MANCHESTER, NH – An 18-year-old Manchester resident was arrested on an outstanding warrant outside of Central High School at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 18.

Jonathan Ramirez of Manchester, New Hampshire was wanted for an October 1, 2017 assault which left a 47-year-old unconscious in a parking lot.

Ramirez allegedly assaulted the victim at 6:30 p.m. on October 1, 2017 in the parking lot adjacent to the Manchester Skate Park, located at 271 Maple St. Ramirez and a group of juveniles allegedly surrounded the man as Ramirez allegedly struck the victim in the head with a metal Razor scooter. The victim sustained a concussion as a result of the blow that caused him to lose consciousness.

Detective Lucas Hobbs prepared a second-degree assault warrant for Ramirez, who was released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail yesterday. He is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on November 2, 2017.
