MANCHESTER, NH – Officers responded to the Queen City Bridge on September 2, 2018 at approximately 10:20 p.m. for a report of a despondent man threatening to jump from the bridge. Multiple officers were on scene when Officer Sarah Kulig began speaking with the man, who was standing on the outside of the railing.

Officers Chris Day and Abdesselam Baddaoui exited their cruiser, and Officer Baddaoui was able to close the gap on the despondent man, whose attention was drawn to the other officers on scene. He was able to grab hold of the 25-year-old man before he was able to jump. Multiple officers grabbed the man and aided Officer Baddaoui as they lifted him over the railing and on to the sidewalk of the bridge.

The man was taken to the Elliot Hospital for a mental health evaluation.
