MANCHESTER, NH — New England winters are not typically referred to as hot, just the opposite can be said — unless you are SNHU Arena. First-quarter rankings are out and they have turned up the heat in Manchester.
venuesnow ranked SNHU Arena No. 14 worldwide and No. 3 in North America for venues fewer than 15,000 seats based on worldwide ticket sales (exclusive of arena’s sports tenants). The Arena sold more than 78,000 tickets through 15 shows in the first quarter, which included two sold-out Trans-Siberian Orchestra concerts, a sold-out Dave Matthews Band grossing more than $800,000, and country artist Chris Young ending his world tour in Manchester.
Panic! At The Disco turned up big time for Manchester with a sold-out show in January. As much as the band wowed the crowd, the crowd in turn wowed the band when the speakers went out during Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” The crowd continued the song, making the Arena electric with an acoustic rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
“The Arena turned it up in the first quarter, with an impressive lineup. We, SMG, pride ourselves on creating long lasting relationships with promoters and agents, which allows us to continue to bring top caliber acts to Manchester. SNHU hosted six sellout shows in the first quarter ranking. These top touring acts included Dave Matthews Band, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Chris Young, Panic! At The Disco, and Kane Brown. 2019 is off to a strong start in Manchester with more great shows already announced including Monster Jam, Josh Groban, Cirque du Soleil Crystal, Eric Church and the Boston Pops.
