A Candia woman surrendered peacefully after a three-hour stand-off with state police Tuesday, barricaded inside her home while despondent and holding a handgun, her 12-year-old daughter with her and unable to leave.
Christopher O’Dwyer, 42, of Salem, was arrested on Oct. 11 after State Police made several attempts to stop him as he evaded police for more than 80 miles on I-93 between Londonderry and Enfield in a stolen truck. Even after his truck was disabled by spike strips, O’Dwyer allegedly refused to stop, and the metal-on-roadway sparking also led to several small brush fires, police said. READ MORE
The pickup left the roadway and traveled onto the grass between Interstate 293 and Interstate 93. The pickup struck several trees in the wood line, and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. Troopers dragged the driver from the wreck, but he succumbed to his injuries. READ MORE
