MANCHESTER, NH – Christmas is fast approaching. The fair is Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Brookside Congregational Church, 2013 Elm St., in Manchester’s North End.
“We are so excited to once again present Christmas at the Brook, a traditional New England craft fair,” said Becky Boisvert, of Brookside Congregational Church. “There is a real revitalization in crafts and homemade goods as evidenced by the popularity of sites like Etsy.com. We are looking forward to creating a fun and festive holiday environment for the community to enjoy that has been a tradition at Brookside Church for more than 50 years.”
Snap up one-of-a-kind handmade gifts that will surely bring smiles this holiday season. In addition to shopping for gifts, you can fill a container with your favorite varieties of fresh baked cookies in the Cookie Walk. Hit the bake sale and take a chance on the raffle to win popular themed gift baskets.
Get your children in the holiday spirit by participating in fun holiday activities – like face painting, ornament making, and more – including a visit from Santa, dressed in his Victorian best. You can also sit back and relax with a hot bowl of soup and bread from Abigails’ Bakery.
For more than 50 years, Brookside Congregational Church has been presenting the craft fair. This year, Christmas at the Brook has grown to more than 30 vendors featuring New Hampshire-made jewelry artisans, wagon-wheel rugs, hand-knit mittens, quilts, blown glass, dolls, handmade toys, ornaments, hand-knit winter hats, cards, fresh balsam wreaths, and much more.

Brookside Congregational Church has a tremendous impact on the Greater Manchester community as it provides not only a place of Sunday worship for parishioners, but it also provides a common location for numerous local nonprofits and community organizations to gather on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. In addition, two small congregations meet weekly in Brookside’s chapel and the Church is also home to Pastoral Counseling Services and a thrift shop that caters to immigrant and low-income population groups.
