Burglary, assault, kidnapping: He came in through the bathroom window

MANCHESTER, NH – Jeffrey O’Neil, 48, of Manchester, is charged with burglary, kidnapping, assault and threatening a woman with a knife after he allegedly climbed through her bathroom window on Sunday.

Officers responded to 463 Beech St. at approximately 3:15 p.m. for an assault in progress. They spoke with the 41-year-old victim who told police O’Neil had entered her apartment through a bathroom window minutes before they arrived.

The woman identified her assailant as O’Neil and  told police he illegally entered her apartment and assaulted her, threatened her and kept her against her will, and that he allegedly threatened to cause her bodily harm while brandishing a knife, which was recovered by police while at the scene.

O’Neil fled prior to police arrival, but was located a day later and taken into custody on an arrest warrant stemming from the  incident.

Officer Kyle Daly and Cody Healy recognized O’Neil and stopped his motor vehicle at 5:30 p.m. on January 18 in the area of 150 Spruce Street. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with: kidnapping, burglary and felon in possession of a deadly weapon. He was scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on January 19.
