MANCHESTER, NH — The four New Hampshire regional offices of Big Brothers Big Sisters will consolidate to form one state-wide agency, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire, with headquarters in Manchester.

The agency currently serves more than 1,400 children in six counties across the state. Agency officials said the merger, announced Jan. 1, will result in a stronger, unified voice to better advocate for youth facing adversity throughout the Granite State, and a more significant presence with greater leverage to attract funding and greater operational efficiencies through shared resources and cost management strategies.

Kevin Fusco will lead Big Brothers Big Sisters NH as chief executive officer and the agency will be served by a single board of directors and supported by the advisory boards of each region.

“We often hear it said that the children are our future and Big Brothers Big Sisters has dedicated itself to helping children realize their potential in order to achieve success and bring about the brightest possible future,” Fusco said. “I cannot express the honor and privilege it is to be chosen to lead that noble effort throughout New Hampshire.”

It costs Big Brothers Big Sisters $1,200 to provide a child with a caring mentor and to support each match relationship. The BBBSNH merger will aim to create greater financial sustainability while strengthening the ability to help more New Hampshire children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships, Fusco said.

“The merger has been something board members and staff have been working hard on for some time,” said Stacy Kramer, vice president of operations. “We couldn’t be more thrilled about Kevin starting and having a dynamic leadership team in place with dedicated staff professionals and board members to focus on the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Big Brothers Big Sisters New Hampshire main headquarters is at 25 Lowell St. in Manchester. Regional offices are in Nashua, Portsmouth, Keene and Claremont.
