MANCHESTER, NH — The public beach at Crystal Lake has reopened following a test for E.coli levels, which were elevated on June 20.

According to the city Health Department, levels were within range for safe swimming, after the water was retested on June 22.

In accordance with NH RSA 485-A, Class B waters, those acceptable for fishing, swimming and other recreational purposes, shall not have greater than an average of 88 Escherichia coli (E-coli) per 100 millilitres of water. The levels at Crystal Lake were 7 parts per 100 millilitres in the right lake/46 parts per 1oo millilitres in the left lake.
