Suspects sought: 2 shootings in one hour, on Huse Road and Pine Street

MANCHESTER, NH — Two shootings about an hour apart Thursday night are under investigation. Police do not believe they are related.

Manchester Police responded to a shooting incident at 8:50 p.m. on Jan. 28 at Marriott Townplace Suites, 686 Huse Road, and involved a 42-year old resident of Boston, Mass., who told police he was visiting a female acquaintance at the hotel. An argument ensued which led to a physical altercation with another man inside of the hotel room.

The victim sustained a serious but non-life threatening gunshot wound to his neck during the altercation. Police officers and detectives arrived on scene and began the investigation. Detectives identified the male and female inside of the hotel room and are asking for the public’s help in locating the wanted parties involved in the incident.

Wanted are: Marcus Cherry, 37 of Manchester, and Ariel Dupuis, 25, of Manchester. Cherry should be considered armed and dangerous, police said. 

He is wanted on two counts of first-degree assault and one count of felon in possession of a firearm.

Dupuis is wanted on a warrant for possession of controlled drug: heroin. If you know the location of one or both of these individuals, please contact the Manchester Police Detective Division at 603-668-8711.

 The second shooting took place approximately 9:55 p.m. on Jan. 28 inside of a Pine Street apartment complex. The 27-year-old female victim stated she was shot in the arm shortly after several men entered the unsecured apartment. She claimed to be visiting the person who resides in the apartment at the time of the shooting, but denied knowing the man who shot her.

She sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to her arm and was transported to a local hospital. She stated four unknown black males entered through the rear apartment door and began stealing items from the apartment. During the burglary, one of the men shot her with a handgun. The men fled after the gun was discharged. Detectives are actively investigating the shooting in an attempt to identify the men involved. There is no additional suspect information at this time, police said.
