Suspect in weekend West Side shooting incident turns self in

MANCHESTER, NH — Jacob Cahill, 18, turned himself in at the Manchester Police headquarters and he is scheduled to be arraigned in the 9th Circuit District Manchester on October 4, 2016, in connection with the Oct. 2 West Side shooting incident.

According to police on October 2, 2016 at 10:46 a.m., Manchester Police responded to the area of CVS on S. Main Street for a report of a shooting. Officers met with the victim, Samuel Caraballo, 18, who told police that he was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Conant  and Main streets. A vehicle stopped behind him and a passenger known to Caraballo exited. The suspect walked up to Caraballo, firing a single bullet toward him, striking the passenger door of the vehicle Caraballo was seated in. Caraballo was uninjured.

The suspect was identified as Jacob Cahill, 18, of Manchester. Cahill fled the area in a red Acura Integra. Warrants were issued for Jacob Cahill for attempted first-degree assault and reckless conduct.

Cahill turned himself in at the Manchester Police headquarters and he is scheduled to be arraigned in the 9th Circuit District Manchester on Tuesday October 4, 2016.
