Suspect charged in stabbing; police investigate unconscious man with head wound

MANCHESTER, NH — Two early-morning police calls Friday resulted in one arrest and a call for the public’s assistance in finding out more about a man found unconscious and injured on Elm Street.

The first call was at approximately 12:35 a.m. on Dec. 28th 2018, as Manchester police officers were made aware of a man who arrived at a local hospital suffering from several non-life threatening stab wounds. This person said that he was involved in an altercation with two males wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

He was unsure of exactly where he was during the incident but mentioned Elm Street. During the investigation it was learned that the incident actually occurred on Auburn Street. After speaking with the parties involved in the incident, Anthony Garcia Garcia, 29, was arrested for stalking, violation of a protection order, criminal mischief and false report to law enforcement.

Garcia is expected to appear in court at Hillsborough Superior Court North Friday.


At approximately 2 a.m. police were advised that there was a man bleeding and unconscious in the area of 1111 Elm St. Upon arrival, they located the man in the street suffering from an injury to his head. He was transported to an area hospital.
