CONCORD, NH –  Governor Chris Sununu on July 20 issued the following statement after announcing the elimination of over 1,600 obsolete regulations. The announcement was made at Cuts on Main, a hair salon in Winchester, familiar with overregulation. Governor Sununu also announced the next steps in his “Cutting Regs and Red Tape” agenda. These steps include the issuance of an executive order laying out a process for further review of select regulations and development of recommendations to streamline government.

“Today’s actions are part of my ongoing ‘Cutting Regs and Red Tape’ agenda,” said Governor Chris Sununu. “This is about moving to a culture where our employees, and boards and commissions feel empowered to have a mindset of ‘yes first.’ When it comes to working with state government, far too many small business owners have to fight to get to ‘yes,’ and that’s not right. We need to encourage and support common sense customer service.”
