MANCHESTER, N.H. – On Tuesday, Ward 2 Alderman William Stewart announced he will be running for e-election to a crowd of supporters at City Hall.

“I’ve always said I want to make Manchester a city that people want to move to and not from,” he said. “I think I’ve helped do that over my first two years and I’d like to continue the progress I’ve made so far.”

Stewart pointed to infrastructure improvements at Maple, Beech and Union street, voting for increased funding for the Manchester School District as well as several developments in his ward during his first term.

“What I’ve been hearing all along is people want to live in a great neighborhood. They want good schools for their children, they want safe streets and everything from safe sidewalks to a good enjoyable place to live.”
