MANCHESTER, NHInterfaith Women of NH will host an event, Stand Up & Stand Out: Women of Faith in Our Time, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 65 Sagamore St. on October 4 at 6:45 p.m. Check-in begins at 6:15 p.m.

Speakers will include:

  • Veronica Molloy – “Antona Ebo, Franciscan Sister of Mary: A ‘Negro’ Nun, Civil Rights and Selma.”
  • Jean Dickson – ” Protestant Women’s Missionary Movement, which opened doors to more active roles for women in the church.”
  • Masooma Athar – ” Tawakkol Karman, a Muslim who won the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize working for women’s rights in Yemen.”
  • Mary Singer & Rachel Spierer – “Debbie Friedman, a pioneer who transformed the sound and spirit of Jewish liturgical music.”
