MANCHESTER, NH — Studio 550 Art Center will be hosting its annual Spring Cleaning & Dollar Pottery Sale Thursday, May 2 through Saturday, May 4.  The sale will be open 4-9 p.m. on the Thu (during the Taco Tour), and 12-9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

This is a sale to not only clear out boxes of pottery in storage, but also to raise funds and awareness about the Studio’s Clay for Kids Scholarship for afterschool and summer camp programs. The Studio offers a variety of enriching children’s programing throughout the year, and, when funds exist, they award a 50% scholarship for these programs to those in need.

The work sold at the sale will be primarily 1-day workshop pottery made by students who never came back to pick up their finished pottery.  We hold onto work for guests for about 6 months after their workshop and try to contact them twice. If we don’t hear from them and they never pick up the work, then we box them up and they are donated, sold, or repurposed at the next sale. Obviously, we would prefer the work go home with the owner, so if any past students are reading this and never picked up their pots, let us know. We might be able to find it. There will also be work made by some teachers and senior students.

Donations for the Clay for Kids fund will also be accepted.

We will also have baby succulent plants available for $5 each for anyone who wants to pair a plant with their new little pots
