Joel Benito-Cecenas of Manchester was the operator of the Ford F-150. He stated he lost control of his truck on the icy roadway and crashed into the bus. The impact of the crash caused one of the students to seek medical treatment. The 11-year-old Southside student reported her injury and was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. The non-life threatening was evaluated at a local hospital.

District Assistant Superintendent David Ryan was at the scene to make sure everyone was OK and that students were safely transported to school, according to a spokesman from the superintendent’s office.
