MANCHESTER, NH –  Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) has partnered with Manchester Cal Ripken (MCR), a local youth baseball organization. The partnership is with the Sport Management and Athletic Departments of SNHU. Students will assist in developing a short and long-term plan aimed at increasing league participation as well as solidifying league operations.  The SNHU varsity baseball team will be participating in the partnership by training Cal Ripken players during their winter clinic as well as assisting in a coaches’ clinic prior to the MCR season.

ABOUT MANCHESTER CAL RIPKEN

Manchester Cal Ripken is a local youth baseball organization heading into its third season. In 2016, Manchester East Little League transitioned to Cal Ripken Baseball.  Manchester Cal Ripken is open to boys and girls between the ages of 4-12 from Manchester, Hooksett, Bedford, Goffstown, Auburn, Deerfield and Candia. The biggest difference between Cal Ripken and Little League occurs in the major league division where kids play on a larger field, which better prepares them for the next level of baseball.
