MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police responded to the 100 block of North Adams Street at 2:20 a.m. on Aug. 28 for a report of two unwanted subjects inside of the North End home. Officers spoke with the 66-year-old homeowner who was standing in front of the address. He stated two unknown females broke into his home minutes earlier.

The victim said he heard glass break, so he went downstairs and observed a woman later identified as Sierra Harrison-Francis, 23, of Manchester, break the glass on the back door before reaching inside to open disengage the lock. She soon entered the home alongside her sister Jajara Harrison-Francis, 19, of Londonderry.

Officers Michael Roscoe Jr. and William Dann said that they observed Sierra and her sister Jajara standing in the dining room of the home. Sierra was bleeding heavily as a result of broken glass on the rear door, which was the point of entry. The homeowner said he did not know the woman who broke into the home.

Her sister Jajara left the residence once she was instructed to do so by the responding officers, but Sierra continued to argue with officers. Sierra took an aggressive stance and started to pull away from the officer as he attempted to escort her from the porch, according to a police narrative of the interaction. Sierra allegedly smeared blood on Officer Roscoe as he grabbed her arm to escort her from the porch, which was littered with broken glass, as well as blood from her injuries.

Sierra engaged in a physical confrontation while repeatedly kicking Officer Roscoe, according to police, after she fell to the ground. Officer Roscoe attempted to place her into handcuffs, but the amount of blood on her body and the fact she was non-compliant made it difficult to do so, police said. Jajara pushed past Officer Dann and made several attempts to interfere with her sister’s arrest. Officer Roscoe finally utilized his department-issued Taser to subdue Sierra and was able to place her into custody while Officer Dann placed Jajara into custody.  The officers treated the multiple lacerations on Sierra’s hands before the ambulance transported her to a local hospital for treatment.

Sierra was charged with criminal trespass, criminal mischief, simple assault on a police officer and resisting arrest/detention. Jajara was charged with hindering apprehension and contempt of court. Both are scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on August 28, 2018.
