MANCHESTER, NH — For families looking for a fun activity to enjoy together during Manchest
Projects will have to be left here to be fired, but participants will be able to choose a glaze color for their piece before leaving. The Studio 550 staff will fire and glaze the pieces for them, and the work will be ready for pick up within 4-5 weeks. Finished pottery will be food safe and microwave safe, and ready to use.
Daily Family Clay Sculpting Workshops will be held 4-5:30 p.m. They are open to all ages, and projects are designed so that kids can create independently, though parents may choose to co-create a project with kids 5 and under.

-
Tuesday 2/26: Coil-built Cereal bowls

Although there is a suggested project, they are designed to be customizable, and have plenty of room for variations and personal style. Independent thinkers are sure to be pleased! There will also be examples to inspire those looking for more guidance.
Each person in attendance must register, but this also means each person can make a project. The cost is $20 per seat. Parents of kids under 5 can choose to register for one & make a project together, or register as usual for two & each make a piece.
Daily Family Pottery Workshops (9yo+) are perfect for families with kids who are interested in the pottery wheel and want to try it before registering for a full afterschool class session. We will offer a 1-day workshop each weekday from 1:30-3PM. This 1.5 hour crash course on the wheel includes all materials and instruction as well as one piece finished and fired. Any extras may be kept for $5 each. The cost is $30 per participant and workshops will run daily from 2/25-3/1.
Please note that participants in the Family Pottery Wheel Workshop must be at least 9 years old. This is largely due to body size and the leverage needed to manipulate clay on the wheel independently.
Pre-registration is encouraged in all workshops. Space is limited. To register, see the Studio 550 website www.550arts.com, conta
