MANCHESTER, NH – A round-up of crime incidents from the weekend.


Woman grazed by bullet

Just after midnight on April 25 Manchester Police responded to Bridge and Union streets for a reported shooting incident. Once there, officers learned that the  victim of the shooting had left the area prior to police arrival. Officers checked local hospitals and were able to locate the female victim who was being treated for a non-life threatening, minor injury after being grazed by a bullet.

Detectives were able to determine during the initial investigation that the shooting was not random. It does appear that the victim and suspect are known to one another. At this time, the investigation continues and the names of the involved parties are not being released.


Man charged with first-degree assault for a stabbing

At approximately 12:20 a.m. on April 25 police responded to a homeless camp located along the banks of the Merrimack River near the Queen City Bridge for a reported stabbing.

During the investigation, officers learned that an altercation took place between two people. During the altercation, one person took out a knife and stabbed another person numerous times. The victim, a 35 year old homeless male, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The suspect was identified as Anthony Palladino, 18, who was arrested April 25 at approximately 12:35 p.m., according to police.


Queen City Market robbery

At 7 a.m. on April 25 Manchester Police responded to the Queen City Market located at 31 Elm St. in reference to a robbery. The store clerk informed officers that a robber entered the store and approached the counter, brandishing a hatchet and demanding cash.

The robber reached over the counter and took scratch lottery tickets before fleeing the area on foot with the scratch tickets, but without getting any cash. A  search of the area using a police dog was fruitless. The robber is described as a white male, last seen wearing blue jeans, a black Adidas jacket with white stripes with a hoodie and ski mask concealing his identity.
