MANCHESTER, NH – Shirley E. Koziatek, 91, of Manchester, died peacefully on March 4, 2017 at Villa Crest Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester on December 2, 1925, she was the daughter of Harold and Lula (Fisher) Batchelder. She was educated in Manchester and was a graduate of Central High
School. Shirley “the girl next door” married the love of her life, Frank, in 1943. They spent 18 years traveling to their home in Port St. Lucie, FLA., during the winter months, and were lifelong parishioners and supporters of Blessed Sacrament Church in Manchester. Before retirement in 1976, she worked for Sears in Women’s Fashions.
Shirley loved her family and her home more than anything. She was very artistic and had a passion for home decorating, sewing, gardening, crafts and fashion. Above all she will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
The family includes her beloved husband of 73 years, Frank W. Koziatek of Manchester; one son, Stephen F. Koziatek of Manchester; one daughter, Marcia Vartanian and husband Warren of Merrimack; four grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Jan Koziatek in 2010; and her grandson.
There are no calling hours or services. Burial will take place at the convenience of the
