The Dana Center, world-class performing arts on the campus of Saint Anselm College, is proud to present Shanghai National Acrobats, one of the most influential and competitive acrobatic companies in China, on Thursday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m.


First founded in 1959, with a legacy that has evolved for over 2000 years, the young performers of Shanghai National Acrobats of the People’s Republic of China have captivated audiences around the world with their jaw-dropping athleticism and breath-taking artistry.


In thrilling acts of juggling, spinning, impressive acrobatics and spine-tingling contortions, this stunning troupe takes to the stage in a tumbling tour de force that delivers the hypnotizing pageantry and excitement of circus arts at their best. Besides their large and enthusiastic following, the ensemble of twenty young men and women have also garnered numerous international competitive awards, including a Gold medal at France’s Cirque de Demain Festival, the Golden prize at Italy’s Golden Circus Festival at the Russian International Circus Festival, a Golden Presidential Award at France’s Massy International Circus Festival, and a First golden award at China’s National Acrobatic (Magic) Competition, to name a handful.
