MANCHESTER, NH – The Palace Theatre is staging a fresh makeover of the hilarious classic “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas”  October 21 – November 12.

It’s all big songs and big hair in this sassy, spirited musical about a real-life bordello in Texas. Based on the  Chicken Ranch, an infamous, long-running house of ill repute, this tongue-in-cheek story chronicles Miss Mona Stangley, a classy yet brassy madam with a heart of gold, as her “business of pleasure” becomes the center of a media controversy.

Thrusting the Chicken Ranch into the spotlight is Melvin P. Thorpe, a loud-mouthed reporter based on Houston’s own late Marvin Zindler.  Spicing up the story line is a hot-headed, trigger-happy town sheriff, the Texas A&M football team, and Miss Mona’s racy girls. “The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas” is a feisty, fun-filled treat.  It’s “just one small thrill but there’s nothin’ dirty going on!”

The Palace Theatre is thrilled to welcome Broadway’s Jennifer Hughes who will be starring in the role of Miss Mona Stangley. Jennifer most recently performed in Broadway’s “The Light in the Piazza” and “Dracula.”

This two-time Tony award-winning musical, popularized on screen by Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds is a show you won’t want to miss! Come on in to see a show like none other and discover what happens when a whorehouse is run in Texas. “Y’all come back now, ya hear?”

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” runs October 21 to November 12 with evening performances at 7:30 p.m. and matinees at 2 p.m. For more information, click here now to order tickets.
