DUBLIN, NH — On Tuesday, January 22, at 10:15 a..m Dublin Police, Dublin Fire, Peterborough Fire, and Marlborough Fire responded to a head-on collision on Main Street. The crash occurred near Camp Rockne Road.
First-responders found a Jeep, a Toyota Sienna, and a tractor-trailer involved in the crash. The tractor-trailer was engulfed in flames, and responders were unsure if the driver was still in the cab.
Fire/EMS found the sole occupant of the Jeep was 18-year-old Samuel Lachance of Manchester. He was suffering from serious and life-threatening injuries and was brought via DHART Medical Helicopter to Mass General Hospital in Boston.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified as Jean Morency, 66, of Nashua. He was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital with minor injuries.
Two occupants of the Toyota Sienna were also transported to Monadnock Community Hospital with minor injuries.
According to Dublin Police, the initial investigation shows that the Jeep was traveling Westbound toward Keene when it crossed the center line of the roadway striking the eastbound tractor-trailer head-on.
The crash caused the trucks fuel tank to rupture causing the cab of the trailer and part of the trailer to become engulfed in flames. The trailer appeared to be empty at the time of the crash and was labeled as Law Transportation from Nashua.
Traffic along 101 was detoured for several hours while crews from NH DES, NH DOT, and Safe Harbors cleaned the hazardous materials off the roadway.
Assisting at the scene included Marlborough Police, Harrisville Police, NH State Police, Dublin Fire, Marlborough Fire, Diluzio Ambulance, Dublin Highway Department and DHART.
