MANCHESTER, N.H. – Turns out, the Harrisburg Senators are still good.

Hearkening back to when the New Hampshire Fisher Cats went to Harrisburg in late May, they were swept out of Tuesday’s doubleheader, falling 8-3 and then 8-2 in the second game.

Neither team could take victory within the regulation seven innings of the first game. Michael Taylor scored in the first for Harrisburg, followed by a Luis Garcia home run in the sixth to give the visitors a two-run lead.

Brock Lundquist and Forrest Wall came across the plate for New Hampshire in the sixth to even things up, but Vinny Nittoli collapsed in the eighth. There, he allowed the first six batters to reach base safely, allowing four of the six runs the Senators would obtain in the extra frame.

Brad Boxberger entered the contest in the bottom of the eighth for Harrisburg and did allow New Hampshire to claw one run back off Logan Warmoth’s sacrifice fly. That would be it though, as Nash Knight went down on three straight pitches to retire the side.

New Hampshire was limited to just four hits in the contest, two of which came from Lundquist. Nitolli fell to 0-2, squandering six strong innings from starter Yennsy Diaz. The win went to Jordan Mills for his relief in the seventh. He is now 2-1 on the year.

Harrisburg established themselves earlier in the second game, taking six runs in the first three innings off the just demoted Ryan Feirabend.

Feirabend officially joined the team from Triple-A Buffalo in between the games, taking the roster spot of Andres Sotillo, who was placed on Tuesday.

Harrisburg added another two runs in the fifth off Tres Barrera’s sixth home run of the year and a Spencer Kieboom RBI single. Kevin Smith’s solo home run highlighted New Hampshire’s limited offensive response.

Josh Palacios got the Fisher Cats’ other RBI, also going 3-for-3.

Feierabend (0-1), allowed the hits and two walks before leaving after the third.

Mario Sanchez (8-3) was the winner for Harrisburg, scattering seven hits over five innings of work.
