Fisher Cats center fielder Cam Eden played a ball off the wall on Wednesday night that had inside the park home run written all over it. The top of the brick wall has a bevel to it just to the right of dead center. Eden played the pinball perfectly, holding the batter to a double. READ MORE

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats broke a homestand attendance record over the last two weeks despite a run of blistering heat and a seven-game losing streak. The getaway game was on Sunday vs. the Erie SeaWolves, who upped their second-half record to 27-11. READ MORE

Whole Lotta Hittin’ Goin’ On: Starting with Star Wars night at Delta Dental on July 23, The Fisher Cats bats went on an eight-game tear during which they went 6-2. Their 40 round-trippers for the month of July are believed to be a franchise record. Was the harbinger the lack of a Wookie of the Year in the 96-degree heat? Deuces wild: After 18 home games in June for the Fisher Cats, divide by two and nine home games is the number for July, though there is a four-day break for the All-Star game. The Cats were back in town July 4th to start a six-game series with the Hartford Yard Goats. READ MORE
