Portland Sea Dogs

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The New Hampshire Fisher Cats managed just four hits on Tuesday night, falling 4-0 to the Portland Sea Dogs.

Jerry Downs’ RBI single in the second was all the Sea Dogs needed, bringing home Tate Matheny for what would be the game-winning run.

Bobby Dalbec came across the plate off Marcus Wilson’s sacrifice fly in the sixth and Dalbec scored again in the eighth along with C.J. Chatham off Joey Curletta’s ninth double of the year.

Konner Wade (2-3) filled in as Portland’s starting pitcher, striking out six Fisher Cats in seven innings of work. Hector Perez (5-4) was the loser, giving up one earned run off four hits over six innings, walking three and striking out six.

The series concludes on Wednesday with a 12:05 p.m. matinee, with New Hampshire sending Yennsy Diaz (8-6, 3.59 ERA) against Portland’s Kutter Crawford (1-2, 4.67 ERA)
