Extended hours for school vacation week!
CONCORD, NH – The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center will be open seven days a week for spring vacation, from Saturday, April 18 through Sunday, May 3, from 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., with special programs to welcome spring.
“Sunstruck,” a new planetarium show on the life-giving and dangerous properties of the Sun, will play daily at noon, followed by the return of “Attack of the Space Pirates,” a show that spans the universe, filled with misbehaving aliens.
Discovery Center visitors can participate in the first National Math Festival on Saturday, April 18 by making math-inspired bubbles, as the Discovery Center is one of 80 science museums nationwide selected to host a geometric bubble station. The station will stay in operation daily throughout spring vacation.
The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, 2 Intitute Dr., Concord, features 21st century interactive exhibits on aviation, astronomy, Earth and space sciences, a state-of-the-art planetarium and a variety of science, technology, and engineering and mathematics programs.
