MANCHESTER, NH — They say nothing in life is free. We disagree.

Savoir Faire Marketing/Communications is giving one New England-based company a year’s worth of free marketing services, valued at $75,000. Eligibility is straightforward:

If your company has been in business for more than three years, and you’re a New England-based for-profit organization, you’re eligible to win a year’s worth of marketing services for free. All you have to do is enter to win by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

Since 2013, Savoir Faire has shared 500 nuggets of marketing wisdom in the bi-weekly POI email. Five years and 500 assets were deemed a reason to shake things up with a New England company’s marketing plan.

“We are passionate about seeing New England companies grow through strategic marketing efforts,” Stephanie McLaughlin, Savoir Faire Principal, said. “There are dozens of wonderful, local businesses that could use an edge to get them to the next level.”

Business owners and managers at companies who relate to the following statements should consider entering:

  • Companies that are struggling to figure out which marketing tactics will be worth the effort
  • Companies that are overwhelmed by all the things they could be doing
  • Companies that are frustrated by trying to figure out which tactics they should be using
  • Companies that have been doing the bare minimum, just enough to get by
  • Companies that have been running the same marketing playbook for years (decades?)
  • Companies that have limited budget and/or limited staff to develop – forget implement – a good, strategic marketing program
  • Companies that are focused on core expertise and business goals, and need a partner to help get marketing right

Once the entry period is complete, the entrants will be pared to roughly five finalists. Savior Faire will interview those finalists to discover what their marketing challenges are and what business objectives they would like to accomplish with a year of marketing services.

Each finalist’s story will be shared on a website landing page, and then a 10-day voting period will occur. The company will announce the winner in early September, and the year’s worth of free marketing will commence on Monday, October 1, 2018.

“I know this is an ambitious — and expensive — project for us,” McLaughlin added. “We’re ready to introduce more business owners and empowered general managers to the Savoir Faire brand of marketing, which is solving challenges with the implementation of smart, strategic marketing programs.”

The Prize

The year of marketing services is valued at $75,000. The services will be deployed using the Savoir Faire path to marketing.

Savoir Faire approaches complex marketing challenges using a three-step process, starting with Discovery, where they learn about the company, its business goals and competitors, along with opportunities in the marketplace. From there, a marketing strategy is built and implemented in the next two phases.

The first part of the strategy is to Build the Machine. This is where the digital framework of a marketing program is built (or rebuilt). That could include a website, marketing automation or inbound marketing system, along with social media or email.

The second piece of the strategy is implemented with Run the Machine. This is when an ongoing program is executed, measured and analyzed, and continuous improvements are made based on results and data.

More details about eligibility, the prize and the fine print (lawyer stuff) are also included here.
