MANCHESTER, NH – Ryan Van Orden, 30, a long-term Ward 6 resident and New Hampshire native has announced his candidacy for alderman with the following statement:

“I’m a devoted father and founder of a Manchester-based residential & commercial cleaning company, UNI-STAR. I’m well aware of the current socio-economic issues that the Queen City faces and I’m running for Alderman because I want to foster positive change.

“As a father and business owner I see things differently from a politician. I’m running for Alderman because I can’t just sit on the sidelines.  I want to help.  I want to stand up and do my part to ensure a better outcome.

“I’m invested in the health of the community and ready to ask hard questions and offer my plans for change on major issues.

“I chose to stay in my hometown of Manchester and start a family, build a business, and invest in the future of the Queen City.  When faced with a challenge, I see two choices; you can either be part of the problem or part of the solution.”

The Ward 6 Alderman position has been vacant since April, following the resignation of Nick Pappas, who moved out of the city.
