MANCHESTER, NH – A city man is in custody, accused of using the money he raised via GoFundMe to buy himself a car – instead of the stated purpose, helping pay for the funeral of a friend, who was murdered.
After a lengthy investigation, Concord Police on Wednesday arrested Jeffrey Grenier, 25, of Manchester, on a felony theft charge for allegedly spending money he raised to pay for a slain woman’s funeral expenses. According to Concord Police Lt. Sean Ford, Grenier was charged after police discovered earlier this year that he had spent money raised via a GoFundMe site set up to raise funds to offset the funeral expenses of Sabrina Galusha, a woman allegedly murdered earlier this year by Daswan “Dee Bang” Jette, in a drug deal gone bad.
