MANCHESTER, NH – Thursday August 17th marks the beginning of a new kind of competition in Manchester: video game tournaments.

The event, billed as “King of the Granite Hill,” will be held at the Manchester City Library at 405 Pine Street, starting at 6 p.m.

The tournament will feature retro games from the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s, including: Super Mario Kart for the SNES, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the Sega Dreamcast, and Combat for the Atari 2600.

This competition is for the teenage bracket, ages 12-17. However, event organizer and head of outreach for the Manchester City Library, Caleb Moshier, says he plans to hold an adult tournament soon.

Entry is free, and the first 40 entrants will be admitted to the tournament.

To register or for more information, contact Caleb at 603-624-6560.
