CONCORD, NH – New Hampshire State Prison for Men Warden Michael A. Zenk announced Jan. 13 that regular inmate visitations will resume at the beginning Saturday, January 14, 2017.

Visitation was halted earlier this week following four drug overdoses, including one fatality at the Calumet House in Manchester.

“This action is being taken to protect the safety of the inmate population until the Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau can identify the type and source of the drugs used by the inmates as well as the point of entry for the drugs,” Commissioner Wrenn said in a news release issued Jan. 10

No update was given Friday as to the investigation into the source of the drugs, or the decision to resume visitation.
