Man injured after early-morning gunshots fired – third gunfire report in 2 days

MANCHESTER, NH – Police are investigating two incidents involving gunfire overnight, including one that left a man injured.

At approximately 12 a.m. on October 14, officers were called to the area of Hayward Street and Batchelder Avenue for reported gunshots. Officers located a number of spent shell cases. No injuries were reported.

At 3:40 am, officers responded to the area of Claremont Avenue and Hampton Street for another report of gunshots. There, they located a number of spent shell cases and a man who was injured. The man, whose name was withheld by police, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A similar incident was reported on Oct. 13 at about 5 a.m. on Laurel Street.
