MANCHESTER, NH – A city man faces multiple charges after he allegedly robbed a 7-Eleven clerk at knifepoint early Thursday morning.
At 1:25 a.m. police were dispatched to the 7-Eleven at 117 Queen City Ave., for a panic alarm. While en route, officers learned that the clerk activated the alarm when she was robbed at knifepoint. Responding Officers Dann and Connors observed a man who matched the suspect description walking in the area of Vernon Street. As the officers approached, the man, later identified as Zachariah Head, 24, of Manchester, fled, and a brief foot pursuit ensued.
Officer Roscoe quickly apprehended Head and took him into custody. Head, a convicted felon, was charged with robbery, felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, and resisting arrest/detention. He is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North on November 15, 2018.
