MANCHESTER, NH – And now, for something completely different.
The Red Hot Chilli Pipers will be taking over the Palace Theatre March 10 as the talented men in kilts use their mad bag-piping skills to deliver popular rock songs like, “Eye of the Tiger,” “Chasing Cars,” and “Wake Me Up,” in a whole new way.
The Pipers produce a rock show so hot it comes with its own health warning. Having performed for Sir Paul McCartney, Samuel L. Jackson and Her Majesty the Queen, the Chili Piper’s triple-platinum album has sold out tours all over the world.
Since winning the BBC’s TV talent show, “When Will I Be Famous?” in 2007, these Scotsman have started a fire that cannot be put out. Appealing to audiences, young and old, their rock-infused bagpipe medleys are guaranteed to turn up the heat with a sound they call “bagrock.” If their kilts aren’t reason enough to get your tickets, perhaps the chance to get up close and personal with Scotland’s most unique musical export will.
But wait: There’s more!
Before the piping-hot Pipers take the stage to perform mash-ups of songs by popular bands like Journey, Kings of Leon, and of course the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the New Hampshire Pipe and Drum band will open and get things started with scorching pipe tunes including, “Amazing Grace.”
Both the New Hampshire Pipe and Drum Band and the Red Hot Chili Pipers are certain to get every foot in the audience tapping.
