CANDIA, NHUpdated: 5:15 p.m. State Police identified the driver who died in a crash Sunday morning on Route 101 West in Candia.

Robert Lank, 56, of Raymond, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened April 3 at 8:32 a.m.

Police say it appears Lank was driving too fast for road conditions when he lost control of his 2006 Hyundai Sonata, which then left the roadway, went airborne and came to rest in a wooded area next to Route 101, near Exit 3. Lank was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Police said there was no indication of impairment or cell phone use.

The accident partially shut down traffic on the highway for about two hours, state police said.

The New Hampshire State Police were assisted by Candia Police Department, Fire Department and NH Department of Transportation.
